Description

Christine is a former Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Boston University.

Christine earned her bachelor’s in business administration and master’s in education from Boston University. She spent nearly four years as an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at BU, reading applications from both U.S. and international students and traveling to meet prospective students, families, and counselors in various regions, including the Tri-State area, the Bay Area, the Pacific Northwest, Chicagoland, and Southeast Florida.

After her time at BU, Christine spent over four years working at Deloitte, where she was responsible for managing intern and new graduate hiring for students at BU, the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, UC Berkeley, and Bentley University. She then moved to a role at Airbnb, where she managed their software engineering intern and new graduate hiring process and was responsible for university recruitment from Harvard, MIT, and UC San Diego.

Christine also served as a Prehealth Advisor at MIT’s Career Advising & Professional Development office, where she advised MIT students and alumni on their applications to top medical schools. She helped prospective med students with their application essays, interview preparation, and resumes. She also served as a Career Counselor and met with MIT undergraduates across all majors for general career guidance.

As an IvyWise counselor, Christine thoroughly enjoys working with students as they navigate big decisions during these pivotal years of their lives. Her unique experiences help students think about how to prepare for college and beyond. Christine firmly believes in the importance of laying a strong academic and extracurricular foundation during secondary school to help set students up for success in life. She is highly experienced in what careers look like in fields such as medicine, software engineering, data science, user experience/design, product marketing, product management, consulting, finance, and accounting – and loves to bring this expertise into her sessions with IvyWise students.

Christine’s counseling style is friendly and hands-on – and she believes in being as honest and realistic as possible. She understands the importance of developing trust with her students and families and loves being a strong advocate and guide in their college admissions journeys.

In her free time, Christine loves to travel, and recently checked off Australia and New Zealand from her bucket list. Although she has lived in a few cities across the U.S., including Boston, San Francisco, and Miami, Christine currently resides in the Greater Boston area with her husband and daughter.
