Dan has over 20 years of experience in tutoring and test prep. Prior to joining IvyWise, Dan led research and development for two major test prep companies and has written or contributed to innumerable test prep and admissions books.
Dan graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Comparative Literature. Over the past two decades he has trained or mentored hundreds of tutors and worked with thousands of students. Dan is also a regular contributor to Forbes and Time magazines on educational topics and is at the top of the list of education editors around NYC.
When it comes to students, Dan is a great diagnostician. He will determine each student’s particular needs and adapt his approach and strategy accordingly. Dan is also fluent in Italian, German, French, and Spanish languages.
He also loves helping strong students with weak test-taking skills understand how tests are structured and how to best approach them in order to reach the student’s goal score.
