Eleanor

B.S., Yale University

Category:

Description

Eleanor specializes in preparation for AP Physics, AP Calculus AB and BC, and academic support in physics, math, English, reading, and writing.

Eleanor is an experienced tutor with specialties in physics and in calculus. Eleanor graduated from Yale University with a double major in physics and the humanities (the next best thing to majoring in “everything!”)

While running back and forth around Yale’s New Haven campus, Eleanor tried to conduct research in just about everything, from gravitational waves and muon conversion to Nietzsche and Plato, with a focus on interdisciplinary intellectual history.

Since graduating, Eleanor has strived to take advantage of her interdisciplinary university education while tutoring, and worked to make even the most dedicated humanists, philosophers, athletes, and dancers come to know and love physics and all its applications.

Eleanor has lived and studied in Puebla, Mexico; London; and St. Petersburg, Russia (and is still working through reading Anna Karenina in the original language). She hopes to pursue her love of research and international travel in graduate school.

When not tutoring, she can be found learning new modern dance techniques, scatting to Ella Fitzgerald, and perpetually waiting for the first snow of the year.
