Kaitlyn specializes in preparation for the ACT, SAT, and academic support for all levels of mathematics from Pre-Algebra all the way through AP Calculus.
Kaitlyn has almost a decade of teaching and tutoring experience in math and standardized test prep. As a tutor, Kaitlyn’s ultimate goal is help students increase their confidence so that they can perform their best both inside the classroom and on standardized tests.
Kaitlyn received her B.A. from Boston College, graduating summa cum laude with both a mathematics and secondary education degree. She went on to earn her M.S. in teaching secondary mathematics at Simmons College.
Kaitlyn is passionate about teaching and making mathematics enjoyable for all students no matter their learning style. She works to create individualized lessons and is able to communicate key concepts to students no matter their level of subject mastery. Kaitlyn strives to create lessons that meet the students at their specific skill level and then challenge them to move beyond that level through structured practice. She has helped countless students boost their grades, increase their test scores, and become more fluent in their mathematical skills.
Kaitlyn has turned her passion for mathematics into a career. In addition to tutoring with IvyWise, Kaitlyn is currently working part-time as a high school mathematics teacher.
When Kaitlyn isn’t at school or working with her students, she is at home spending time with her husband and two children.
