Category:

Description

Nellie specializes in students seeking graduate admission, MBA admission, and admission to highly selective schools with an interest in business, entrepreneurship, and STEM.

Nellie is a former Associate Director of Admissions at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She also previously served as an admissions counselor at Rutgers University and the Associate Director of Admissions at The Peddie School, a private, co-ed boarding and day school.

At the University of Pennsylvania, Nellie reviewed MBA and dual-degree candidates, helping select the next class of business students, so she knows what it takes to stand out when applying to hyper-competitive graduate and MBA programs. In addition to reviewing applications at Wharton, Nellie also redesigned and modernized the entrepreneurship and innovation undergraduate and graduate curriculum and launched a female founder mentor program, among other achievements.

Nellie has a unique background that spans high school admissions, undergraduate and graduate admissions, financial aid, and innovate academic programming. Throughout her career, Nellie has worked closely with students and their families to understand the higher education ecosystem. Nellie’s experience in a variety of admissions roles allowed her to gain exposure to all aspects of a selective admissions process, from forecasting enrollments to reading, evaluating, and summarizing applications for admission, interviewing, and selecting a talented pool of applicants.

Most recently as a senior member of the leadership team at Mistletoe Foundation, she managed the entire virtual Mistletoe Research Fellowship grant program, providing unrestricted funding to advanced PhD candidates and postdocs in STEM fields.

Nellie is originally from a small suburb of Chicago, but currently resides in New Jersey with her husband, three children, and yellow Labrador Retriever. She enjoys baking and traveling, and has visited over 17 countries but is eager to add more to the list!
