Sid has several years of private tutoring experience for high school students in a wide variety of science subjects, mainly biology and chemistry.
Sid graduated with a B.S. double major from MIT in biology and biological engineering. During his time at MIT, he participated in many education-focused extracurriculars that emphasized hands-on STEM teaching and making educational enrichment programs accessible to underserved students. As a result, he has significant experience in making difficult topics understandable to students.
During this time, Sid also tutored high school students extensively in AP Biology and AP Chemistry, with an emphasis on preparing students for STEM competitions such as the USA Biology and Chemistry Olympiads. Having achieved the only perfect score in the world on the 2013 AP Chemistry Exam and competed at the national level in both the biology and chemistry Olympiads, he wanted to share his studying strategies and techniques for high achievement on these exams. His students have gone on to perform exceptionally well in various high school STEM competitions and AP exams.
Sid is currently a medical student at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. His current career interests include pediatrics and surgery. In his free time, Sid enjoys playing tennis, dancing, and exploring the NYC food scene.
